Noah Goldstein, BTMM ’06, is a recording engineer working exclusively in the music industry. During his time spent at Temple, he pursued internships with a variety of different recording studios and record labels including Ropeadope Records and Studio 4 Recording in Philadelphia. Following the completion of his MA, Noah left for Iceland to complete one final internship at Greenhouse Studios, where he made the connections necessary to move to New York City and begin his career as a recording engineer.
After moving into the city, he quickly obtained a position at the world renowned Electric Lady Studios. Originally owned and operated by Jimi Hendrix, this studio’s 40 year history became the ideal place to learn advanced recording techniques from seasoned producers and engineers, practice personal relations with various artists and music industry professionals, and understand the incredible amount of time and effort one must put forth to complete a full scale album at the highest level. Over his four years employed at Electric Lady, Noah had the privilege to work with artists such as Keith Richards, Coldplay, Patti Smith, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Weezer, M.I.A., Nas, Kings Of Leon, Gorillaz, Hole, Mos Def and many others.
In 2010, Noah began to take on freelance engineering opportunities outside of Electric Lady. His first project, The Suburbs, with the independent rock act The Arcade Fire, took home the coveted “Album of The Year” accolade at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. Since then, he has worked independently with Coldplay, and is currently the exclusive engineer for Kanye West. Noah worked on the critically acclaimed No. 1 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and is currently working on a variety of different productions and collaborations with West.
